Aptly named the Duet, this handsome table lamp by Adesso doubles up on design elements in a multitude of clever ways. First, of course, are the two satin-steel rods that stand side-by-side as they make their slender way up to two separate sockets, each one outfitted with its own pull-chain. Then there's the shape of the chains themselves with their thin tops and long, thick ends that echo the silhouette of the rods and finials that flank them. Next come the repeated ovals of the shade and weighted base that together add dimension and substance. And last, the seamless blend of retro and modern materials: cool steel meets warm ivory silk, a classic fabric shade is topped with a white metal disk to direct light with efficiency and precision.
